Nativity Theatre & Dance Project is Dance Levels first Christmas event.Nativity is an original theatre project that tells the story of nativity from a contemporary, modernist, & comedic perspective. Nativity will be held on December 19th. It’s follows the story of a young man finally realizing the true meaning of the birth of Jesus.

Nick is a young college student spending the holidays back home. While being away at college he has learned of different religions and theologies which make him question his Christian beliefs.The story unfolds as Nick struggles with his beliefs, while playing the role of Joseph in the yearly production of Nativity at his home church. Nativity is a huge production for the church each year. As inward struggles spill over into different relationship dynamics, with family, friends, and church members. The Nativity production struggles. A young new member, Jess joins the church and helps everyone see the true meaning of the birth of Jesus, Nativity!

We are accepting youth 5+, teens, and adults to be apart of the cast. Dance Auditions will be held on August 30th from 3pm -5pm at Dance Levels Studios in Clay at 2443 Old Springville Rd. 2nd Floor City Atrium. Rehearsal will start in October. Tentatively rehearsals will be on Sunday evenings.

About the Intensive

  • Theme: Finishers Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026  Time: 9:00am -3:00pm

  • Purpose: Encouraging participants to run the race set before them. To not only start, but to Finish!

Class Description

Tiny Tots: A class designed for beginner movers. Contemporary dance is a mixture of genres, mainly ballet, jazz, and lyrical. The class is formatted on a ballet foundation, which may include barre, across the floors, center, and floor work.

Ballet: A class designed to be the foundation of dance. Class is formatted with barre, floor, allegro, adagio and across the floors and learning. Student will learn essential ballet techniques and terminology.

Contemporary I-II: A class designed for intermediate movers that builds off skills and technique learned from level one.  Contemporary dance is a mixture of genres, mainly ballet, jazz, and lyrical. The class is formatted on a ballet foundation, which may include barre, across the floors, center, and floor work.

Contemporary III: A class designed for intermediate- advanced movers that builds off skills and technique learned from level two. This class is an accompanying class to Contemporary II.  Contemporary dance is a mixture of genres, mainly ballet, jazz, and lyrical. This class is for serious dancers looking to take their technique to the next level. 2-3 years of ballet or contemporary required.

Adult Contemporary  Our contemporary dance classes are a rooted in ballet, jazz, african, and lyrical. We take a contemporary, modernist perspective in creating choreography for class.  The class includes a 15 minutes warm up and 45 minutes of contemporary style choreography.

Lyrical Worship    The class includes a 15 minutes warm up & conditioning and 45 minutes of dance inspired from the Lord. We are a faith-based organization. We believe in the gospel of Jesus. We believe that Jesus is the son of God, who died for our sins and was raised from the dead by God.  We spread the good news of our faith and express it through dance.

Open Class: This class may be taught by Dance Levels staff members or guest instructors. Just be prepared to move. We start you off with a warmup up and flow with the choreography from the teacher that day.
